AL pays tributes to Bangabandhu on founding anniversary

Top leaders of Awami League placed a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi-32
Bangladesh Awami League (AL) on Wednesday paid glowing tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman marking its 72nd founding anniversary.
Top leaders of the party including General Secretary Obaidul Quader placed a wreath at the portrait of the Father of the Nation at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi-32 in Dhaka this morning.
Awami League presidium members Matia Chowdhury, Abdur Razzak, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Abdur Rahman, Joint General Secretary Dipu Moni, Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Dr Hasan Mahmud, Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel, Ahmad Hossain, Afzal Hossain, Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan and others were present at that time.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. After laying the wreath, Sheikh Hasina, also President of the Awami League, stood in solemn silence for sometimes as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu.
Bangladesh Awami League was formed on this day in 1949, which later transformed into the biggest political party of the country to lead struggles of freedom, the War of Liberation and all democratic movements.
