AL candidate wins Sariakandi municipality election

Awami League mayoral candidate Motiur Rahman Moti has been elected as a mayor of Bogura's Sariakandi municipality election today with 6,574 votes.
Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Election Officer Md. Sakhawat Hossain formally announced the polls results on Saturday evening.
Matiur Rahman Moti's nearest rival, Awami League's rebel candidate, Alamgir Shahi Sumon got 2,797 votes. Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were used in the Bogura's Sariakandi municipality election while voter turnout was 71.99 percent.
