The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to probe the allegation of assets acquisition except the legal earning of JKG Health Care Chairman Dr. Sabrina Chowdhury.
On Monday, multiple reliable sources of ACC confirmed the matter.
According to the source, being an active govt official, she collected samples of patients for coronavirus test in different parts of the country, including Dhaka, through forgery with the help of her husband Arif Chowdhury. The commission has decided to investigate allegations of misappropriation of Tk 8 crore by preparing and supplying more than 15,000 fake medical reports.
Earlier, Police arrested Dr. Sabrina's husband Arif Chowdhury for making fake coronavirus test reports. According to the police, 27,000 patients received coronavirus test reports from JKG Healthcare. Of those, samples of 11,540 people were properly tested through IEDCR. The reports of the remaining 15,460 people were made on the company's laptop. Evidence of this has been found in the confiscated laptop. Arif Chowdhury told the police during interrogation that 7 to 8 JKG workers made those fake reports.
