The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is collecting preliminary information about the illicit assets of Dhaka-7 MP Haji Selim and his son Irfan Selim, a councilor in Ward 30 of the capital.
Mozammel Haque Khan, ACC Commissioner (Investigation) said this in response to a question from reporters at ACC head office on Wednesday.
Mozammel Haque Khan said data was being collected on the illicit assets of MP Haji Selim and his son Councilor Irfan Selim. If those are listed in the ACC Act, then will be investigated.
“If the issue of illicit assets is related to the ACC's schedule and includes scheduled offenses, we will look into it and take appropriate action after the ACC law,” he said.
Whatever the place or property of the government, if it is occupied, then if covered under the ACC law, action will be taken in that regard, said Commissioner Mozammel Haque.
