9 lakh homeless families getting houses in Mujib Borsho: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said 9 lakh homeless families are getting houses in Mujib Borsho.

“9 lakh homeless families are getting houses in Mujib Borsho. More than 20 lakh people have received health care by calling 333. 2.57 crore people have received the service from 999. 10 lakh files have been signed through e-service. All these are the contribution of Digital Bangladesh, the contribution of Sheikh Hasina,” he said after inspecting house-buildings for the homeless at Singra’s Lalo Majhgram in Natore on Thursday

He added that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh has become a middle-income country. “Bangladesh will become a strong country by 2035, In Sha Allah.”

Palak said, “Bangabandhu is the pioneer of the success of Bangladesh’s dream. The Father of the Nation took Bangladesh forward in 3.5 years. To realize Bangabandhu’s cherished dream, Bangabandhu’s daughter is taking Bangladesh forward as a developed country. Under her leadership, everyone is working together to tackle the coronavirus.”

The State Minister for ICT said food items were distributed to 70,000 people in Singra during the Covid-19 period. “We did not stay at home amid floods and COVID situations. All the people’s representatives, leaders and workers of Awami League, Chhatra League and Juba League are and will be by the side of the people,” he added. 

At the time, the State Minister inspected the work of three houses of the Prime Minister’s ‘Gift to Homeless’ project and distributed sheets and blankets among 700 families. He later inspected the houses of the homeless in Chowgram UP and distributed blankets.

Natore DC Md. Shahriaz, UNO MM Samirul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rakibul Hasan, Chowgram UP Chairman Jahedul Islam Bhola, Chowgram UP Awami League president Altab Hossain Jinnah and others were present on the occasion.
