9 districts count 80 COVID, symptoms fatalities

In the last 24 hours, 80 people succumbed to the Covid-19 in nine districts of the country.
The information was obtained by the reports of Daily Bangladesh correspondents on Saturday.
Mymensingh district has witnessed the maximum number of deaths by Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. 16 deaths have been reported in the district – 8 of them died of Covid-19 and 8 died with symptoms. 207 people were detected with the virus in the 653 sample tests conducted during the period. The detection rate is 31.74 percent, said civil surgeon Dr. Nazrul Islam.
Barishal then placed second in terms of deaths, infections in the country. Around 14 people died – 8 died of Covid-19 and 6 died with symptoms – in the span of 24 hours in the division. During this, 332 fresh cases were detected with a detection rate of 56.21 percent.
In the last 24 hours, 13 people have died in Rajshahi with Covid-19 and symptoms. At the same time, 72 people have been newly infected in this division. Considering the test, the detection rate is 24.32 percent.
In Cumilla, 12 people have died in the last 24 hours with coronavirus and symptoms. Besides, 4 died in Khulna, 4 in Chattogram, 3 in Dinajpur, 7 in Kushtia and 7 deaths were reported in Chuadanga.
Meanwhile, a regular press release on COVID sent from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) yesterday reported 212 deaths.
