82,422 students get primary scholarships

A total of 82,422 students have got scholarships in the Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations held in 2019.  

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain published the results of the scholarship at the conference room on Tuesday 

The result of the scholarship was made on the basis of the result of the Primary Education Completion (PEC) and Ebtedayee Education Completion (EEC) examination of 2019, he mentioned.  

The State Minister for Primary and Mass Education said that 82,422 students have been awarded scholarships based on the results of the fifth-grade Primary Education Completion (PEC) examination this year. “Among them — 33,000 students have been awarded the scholarship in Merit Quota (Talentpool). 49,500 have received scholarships in General Quota.”

The scholarship recipients will get Tk 300 in Merit Quota from sixth-grade to eighth-grade and Tk 225 in General Quota, he also said. 

Md. Zakir Hossain said, “Talentpool Scholarship is given by setting a quota of upazilas/thanas in proportion to the number of students who participated in the PEC examination and the General Scholarship is given based on union and municipal ward.”

The list of the scholarship will be available on the DPE website and will be available locally at the office of the Deputy Director/District Primary Education Officer and at the Upazila level.
