8 deaths, 326 infections in country in 24hrs

Eight more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 8,274 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 5,40,592 as 326 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) came up with the information in a press release on Sunday (February 14, 2021).
Earlier on Saturday, 291 COVID-19 patients were detected while 13 deaths related to the disease were reported.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, 372,496 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 10,182 died from the pandemic in the last 24 hours. The United States has registered the highest number of deaths from the pandemic and infections during the period.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 219 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. As of this afternoon, a total of 109,146,653 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 2,406,485 while 81,189,052 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.
