8 COVID symptoms deaths counted at MMCH

8 people have died of Covid-19 symptoms in the last 24 hours at the COVID unit of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH), however, none died of the virus at the time. 

Confirming the information on Saturday morning, Dr. Mohiuddin Khan Moon, a focalperson of the MMCH’s COVID unit, said three people from Mymensingh, three from Netrokona and two from Jamalpur died with Covid-19 “symptoms”. They were all hospitalized.

Dr. Moon added that 14 people were newly admitted to the hospital’s COVID unit, bringing the hospitalized patients to 121, including 6 at ICU. Besides, 10 people have returned home after recovery.

District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam said 285 samples were tested at MMCH’s PCR labs, yielding a total of 13 people detected with coronavirus.
