7 out of 8 employees absent in Upazila health office

Public Health Engineering Department’s (HED) Executive Engineer Maine Uddin visited Hathibandha Upazila Public Health Assistant Engineering Office in Lalmonirhat. He found absent seven out of the eight officers and employees in the office in a sudden visit at At 9:15 am on Sunday.

It has been reported that the news has been published in various media for several days on different irregularities and corruption in the Public Health Deputy Assistant Engineering Office of Hathibandha Upazila of Lalmonirhat.

Following such news, Chief Engineer of the Department of Public Health Moin Uddin came to the office on Sunday morning to investigate the incident. He came to the office at 9:15 am in the morning and found Peon Anil Chandra just opening the office. Despite staying in the office till 9:45 am in the morning, none of the eight officers-employees came to the office. Shortly before he left, two employees, Azmira Rahman and Kadam Ali came to the office.

Chief Engineer of Lalmonirhat Public Health Department Maine Uddin said there are various problems in the Hatibandha office. Meanwhile, action has been taken against Prakash Kanti, chief deputy engineer of the office. Necessary steps will be taken against the rest after the investigation.
