7 more deaths at RMCH Covid-19 unit, 4.98pc positivity rate

Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) recorded seven more fatalities at its Covid-19 unit in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am on Wednesday.
Of the fresh fatalities, one tested positive for Covid-19 and six others had its symptoms
Confirming the information, RMCH Director Brigadier General Dr Shamim Yazdani told media that three of the deceased were the residents of Rajshahi, while two were from Naogaon and one each from Natore and Pabna districts.
Apart from this, of the seven fresh fatalities, two were male and five female.
Twenty more patients were admitted to the designated Covid-19 wards of the hospital in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of admitted patients to 122, including 42 positive cases.
Twenty other patients returned home from the RMCH Covid-19 unit after being cured during the time.
Yazdani said 50 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 after testing 452 samples in Rajshahi's two laboratories on Wednesday, showing 4.98 percent positivity rate against 1.41 percent on Tuesday.
