7 killed in turf war at Rohingya camps

Seven Rohingyas have been killed in clashes between two groups over dominance in Rohingya camps. Several people were wounded in the incident. Four of them were hospitalized, police said.
The incident took place at Ukhiya 18 no. Camp in Cox’s Bazar on Friday morning.
Members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN) arrested a man named Mujibur Rahman with arms in the incident.
The deceased were identified as – Idris of Ukhiya’s Balukhali-2, Ibrahim Hossain of Balukhali-1, Azizul Haque, son of Nurul Islam of H block of Camp No. 18 and Md. Ameen, son of Abul Hossain of Block-H/52, Hafez Nur Halim of F/22 Camp-18, Mouluvi Hamidullah of Camp-18 and Nur Kaiser, son of Nur Mohammed of Camp-18.
Confirming the matter, Cox’s Bazar 8 Armed Police Battalion Commander SP Shihab Kaiser Khan said two groups of Rohingyas have clashed over dominance. “We arrested one person with a weapon. Seven people were killed. Another 10 people were admitted to the MSF hospital with injuries,” he added.
