At least seven civilians have been killed in Saudi airstrikes in Yemen’s northwestern province of Marib. Three more people were injured in the incident.
The Saudi airstrikes conducted the attack during the preparation of an anti-Israel rally marking the International Quds Day on Friday.
Yemen’s state news agency Saba confirmed the news, citing unnamed security sources.
The source strongly condemned the attack on the people who had gathered to take part in the Quds Day rally, saying that “Saudi Arabia had exposed its Israeli character through airstrikes.”
Quds Day is celebrated on the last Friday of the holy Ramadan every year. After the success of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, the leader of the revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), declared the last Friday of Ramadan as Quds Day.
Since then, Muslim Zionists around the world have observed Quds Day liberate the Holy Baitul Muqaddas from Israeli occupation. On this day, various types of meetings, gatherings, seminars and symposiums are held all over the world.
