The district administration has announced a seven-day special lockdown in Naogaon municipality and Niamatpur upazila following a rise in Covid-19 cases and deaths. This special lockdown will be effective from midnight on June 3.
Naogaon Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harun Aur Rashid announced the decision at a press conference at 2 pm on Wednesday.
He said there is no need to lock down the entire Naogaon district. However, all shops in the municipal area and Niamatpur will be closed for a week from June 3.
