Khaleda Zia shifted to prison from BSMMU

BNP’s chief Khaleda Zia was taken to jail from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.

On Thursday at 11:40 am, a black private car carrying Khaleda Zia entered the old central prison of Nazimuddin Road. 

Earlier, on 11:15 am, the police car carrying her from BSMMU Hospital moved towards the Central Jail of Old Dhaka. There were police security fencing cars and motorbikes around the private car.

A large number of security took place in the adjoining areas including the central jail, Old Dhaka, Alia Madrasah Chattar and the BSMMU hospital. All types of traffic movement were stagnant. Police and security arrangements were made around the prison.

Earlier, at around 10:00 am, the police made extensive preparations in front of Shahbagh BSMMU Hospital. The police guard in the hospital area was extended.  the cars of Members of different law and order forces were present.

BNP Chairperson was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital for treatment on October 6, following the High Court directive. The 5-member medical board was formed. Khaleda Zia was undergoing treatment at the hospital’s 612 cabin.
