6 killed in Chuadanga road crash

Six people were killed as bus smashes the engine-driven van at Sarojganj in Chuadanga Sadar upazila around 6 am on Saturday. Four more people were injured in the incident.
The deceased were identified as Milon, son of Mahatab of Kharagoda village in Sadar upazila, Sohag, son of Nuta Miah of Titudaha village, Shariful Islam, son of Abdur Rahim, Raju Ahmed, son of Niyat, Kalu, son of Haider Ali and Sasthi Kumar, son of Nitay of Basubhandardah village.
Police, fire service, hospital, and eyewitness sources said five people died on the spot and another died after being taken to hospital. The deceased are all day laborers. They were going to Alamsadhu for work.
Sadar Police Station OC Abu Fakhrul Mohammad Jihad said the Dhaka-bound Royal Express Paribahan bus hit a van and a motorcycle in the Sarojganj Bazar area. Five people were killed on the spot. And 5 more people were seriously injured.
Meanwhile, five other injured were taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where another died while undergoing treatment. Chuadanga Sadar Hospital Residential Medical Officer Md Shamim Kabir confirmed this information.
