5,599 die in a day, 452,895 new infected globally

The whole world has been devastated by the novel coronavirus. Death and infections from the deadly virus are rising alarmingly. A total of 452,895 people have been infected with coronavirus and the virus claimed 5,599 lives in the last 24 hours across the world.
According to worldometer, so far, 1,155,563 people have died from the deadly virus infection out of 43,005,688 coronavirus cases across the world. Of them, 31,710,222 have recovered.
The United States, the worst-hit country in the world, has registered 784 deaths and 79,449 new cases in the last 24 hours. The country is still at the top in coronavirus deaths and infections. A total of 230,068 people died in the country due to the pandemic and 8,827,932 have been infected so far.
India has registered the second-highest death toll of 575 during the time and the death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 118,593. The country reported 50,224 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 7,866,740 while 7,078,123 people have recuperated so far. India has the second-highest number of active cases and ranks third in the COVID-19 death toll.
Brazil has registered 398 new deaths of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With this, the tally of fatalities from the pandemic has risen to 156,926 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 5,381,224 as 25,574 new cases were confirmed during the period.
The coronavirus was first detected in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China in December 2019. The virus, which has spread from China, has so far infected 215 countries and territories around the world.
