5.4-magnitude quake hits off Dhaka

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake jolted Dhaka and some other parts of the country including Sylhet on Saturday night.
However, no reports of damage caused by the quake has been logged yet.
An official of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) seismic centre in Dhaka's Agargaon said that the epicentre of the earthquake was in Moirang of India, 405 kilometers from Bangladesh. The vibrations that lasted for only 15 seconds in our country.
The earthquake was felt at 11:38pm, according to the BMD.
Earlier, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake happened in Bangladesh on May 25. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Kakching in the Manipur state of India.
