54 buildings of Mohammadpur under police surveillance

54 buildings including Kaderabad Housing in Mohammadpur of the capital have been marked as vulnerable in covid-19 issue. Home quarantine has been made compulsory for the residents of there. Police are monitoring the area to ensure it.

Mohammad Latif Sheikh, Officer-in-Charge of Mohammadpur Police Station, told Daily Bangladesh on Friday afternoon that after receiving instructions from the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the Mohammadpur Police Station of DMP Tejgaon Division red marked those buildings.

He also said, “IEDCR said that there may have suspected or covid-19 patients. We get a list of such 54 buildings of Mohammadpur including Kaderabad Housing.”

“All measures have been taken by the police to ensure that all the rules of the home quarantine are fully maintained in those 44 houses,” he added.

So far 48 covid-19 patients have been identified in the country. Of them, 11 returned home after healing and 5 died.
