50 model mosques to be opened on Thursday

Out of 560 model mosques built in districts, upazilas and coastal areas of the country, 50 have been prepared for the inauguration.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate these mosques virtually on June 10.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs informed the media on Tuesday.
According to ministry sources, a total of 560 mosques are being constructed in each district and upazila under the project titled “Establishment of Model Mosques and Islamic Cultural Centers”. All preparations have been completed for the inauguration of 50 of these model mosques built at a cost of Tk 8,722 crore.
The mosques to be inaugurated are –
Savar in Dhaka, Madhukhali in Faridpur, Saltha, Pakundia and Kuliarchar in Kishoreganj, Shibalaya in Manikganj, Upazila Sadar in Rajbari, Upazila Sadar and Gosairhat in Shariatpur, Sariakandi Sherpur and Kahaloo in Bogura, Sapahar and Porsha in Naogaon, District Sadar and Upazila Sadar in Sirajganj.
Chatmohar in Pabna, Godagari and Paba in Rajshahi, Khansama and Birol in Dinajpur, Patgram in Lalmonirhat, Debiganj and Sadar in Panchagarh, District Sadar in Rangpur, Mithapukur, Upazila Sadar, Pirganj, Badarganj and Haripur in Thakurgaon.
Subarnachar in Noakhali, Gafargaon and Tarakanda in Mymensingh, District Sadar, Lohagara, Mirsharai and Sandwip in Chattogram, Islampur and Upazila Sadar in Jamalpur, Nabinagar and Bijoynagar in Brahmanbaria, Bhola Upazila Sadar, South Surma in Sylhet, Daudkandi in Cumilla, Panchhari in Khagrachari, Kushtia Upazila Sadar, Khulna District Sadar, Kachua in Chandpur, Rajapur in Jhalokati, and Chuadanga District Sadar.
