CEC in Bangabhaban to meet with President

Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda reaches Bangabhaban to meet President M Abdul Hamid and inform him about the preparation of 11th parliamentary elections.

CEC KM Nurul Huda, along with other commissioners and EC secretary Helaluddin Ahmad, arrived at Bangabhaban at 3:40 pm on Thursday afternoon. 

Earlier, the CEC and other commissioners and EC secretary left for the Bangabhaban at Agargaon election building around 3:00 pm.

They want to discuss the official formalities with the President since the counting of the parliamentary elections began on October 30. And, the EC also sent letters to President for the meeting. 

Earlier, before the last 10th parliamentary elections, the CEC of that time met with the President on November 19, 2013. Later, the polling schedule was announced on November 25 of that year.  

After the meeting with the President on Thursday, the EC will hold a meeting on November 3 to finalize the schedule of 11th parliamentary elections. After the approval of the pooling schedule in the meeting, the Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda will announce through a speech to the nation on BTV and Radio.
