Police have arrested five people in a raid from different areas of the capital, including the hallucinogenic drug called lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD).

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Motijheel Zone DC A Ahad confirmed the matter on Sunday afternoon.  He said details of the matter would be announced later.

As it turns out, LSD is a terrible drug. After taking it, the drug addict becomes senseless.

Earlier, the court granted five-day remand to three students of a private university arrested in connection with the seizure of a drug called LSD from the capital.

They are Sadman Shakib alias Rupal (25), Ashab Wadud alias Turya (22), and Adib Ashraf (23).

The Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested three people from Dhanmondi and Lalmatia in the capital on Wednesday night on charges of involvement in LSD trafficking. 200 blot LSDs were recovered from them.

It is to be noted that law enforcement men came to know about the drug while investigating the death of Dhaka University student Hafizur Rahman. This is the first instance of recovering this hallucinogenic drug in Bangladesh.
