5 bodies found on Cox’s Bazar beach in 2 days

The body of another youth named Avro was found floating on the beach at Nazirartek Point in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday afternoon. His friend Arafat Al Saadi confirmed his identity after the locals recovered the body.
Two more bodies were found floating on Friday within three hours at Seagull point n the beach.
One of them was identified as Mohammad Emon, son of Abul Kalam of Chandrima area in Kalatali and the other was identified as Nafik Oishik, son of Asaduzzaman of Kotwali police station area in Jashore.
Arafat Al Saadi said some of his friends including Nafik Oishik and Avro came to visit Cox’s Bazar on September 14.
A lifeguard named Mahbubur Rahman, who is on duty at the beach, said the body was recovered and sent to the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue. Beach workers handed over the rescued 4 friends of Oishik, Avro to the police.
Confirming the matter of taking four tourists into custody for questioning, Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station OC Sheikh Munirul Gias told the media on Saturday afternoon that they are in custody for further investigation.
On the other hand, two more youths - Rafsanul Haque of Chattogram and Muntasir Priyom - died unnaturally while visiting Cox’s Bazar on Friday. However, police are investigating whether the deaths occured due to consuming excessive liquor.
