Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in anti-narcotics drive, has arrested 48 people for selling and consuming drugs in the capital. 

During the drive, they recovered 764 pieces of Yaba tablets, 42 grams of heroin, 11 kg of cannabis, 51 bottles of Phensidyl and 20 injections of intoxicants from their possession.

The information has been confirmed by the DMP's media and public relations department. The raids were conducted in different police stations in the capital from 6:00 am on Tuesday to 6:00 am on Wednesday.

38 cases have been lodged against the arrestees with the respective police stations.
