45 more die, nearly 2500 new infected in country

45 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4127 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 3,04,583 as 2436 new cases were confirmed during the period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the information issuing a press release on Thursday.
According to the release, the recovery count rose to 1,93,458 after another 3,275 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. As of Thursday afternoon, a total of 24,359,545 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 830,197 while 16,893,455 patients have recovered, according to worldometers data.
