4,498 die in a day, 404,793 new infected globally

The whole world has been devastated by the novel coronavirus while the death and infections from the deadly virus are rising alarmingly. A total of 404,793 people have been infected with coronavirus and the virus claimed 4,498 lives in the last 24 hours across the world.
According to worldometer, so far, 1,159,091 people have died from the deadly virus infection out of 43,345,905 coronavirus cases across the world. Of them, 31,904,851 have recovered.
The United States, the worst-hit country in the world, has registered 442 deaths and 60,889 new cases in the last 24 hours. The country is still at the top in coronavirus deaths and infections. A total of 230,510 people died in the country due to the pandemic and 8,889,179 have been infected so far.
India has registered 463 deaths in the last day and the death toll due to COVID-19 climbed to 119,030. The country reported 45,158 new coronavirus cases, taking the overall caseload to 7,909,050 while 7,133,994 people have recuperated so far. India has the second-highest number of active cases and ranks third in the COVID-19 death toll.
Brazil has registered 237 new deaths of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. With this, the tally of fatalities from the pandemic has risen to 157,163 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 5,394,128 as 12,904 new cases were confirmed during the period.
The coronavirus was first detected in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China in December 2019. The virus, which has spread from China, has so far infected 215 countries and territories around the world.
