Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) is considering rescheduling the 43rd BCS Preliminary Examination due to Vijaya Dashami of the followers of Sanatan religions.

According to BPSC sources on Monday, the examination will not be held on October 15 as the Vijaya Dashami of the followers of Hinduism will be held on October 15. The date of the examination will be rescheduled at the end of the next commission meeting.

BPSC chairman Sohrab Hossain told media that next October 15 is the Vijaya Dashami of the followers of Hinduism. If this is correct then the exam will be postponed by one week. Because these big tests are usually taken on Fridays.

It may be mentioned that BPSC published a circular for the 43rd BCS for the appointment of 1,814 officers in different cadres.

Meanwhile, the deadline for the 43rd BCS application was extended from March 31. Later it was extended again for two months to May 31.
