43 Students received ‘Quran’ as gift

The School managing authority of Anand Nagar Government Primary School in Grudaspur, Natore has gifted the Qur'an to the 43 students each who passed the primary school certificate exam (PSC). Each student received a copy of the Quran on Wednesday while Gurdaspur UNO Md. Tamal Hossain was the chief guest.

The prize-giving program was observed chaired by the school president Anwar Hossain while Vice-president of the school management committee Sajedur Rahman headmaster Atabuddin were also present in the program.

Meanwhile, fifth-grade students are being taught the Quran in addition to regular schooling. A teacher has been appointed in the behest as well as financed by the school's president Anwar Hossain. This education system has been introduced from this year.

The president of the school also the Upazila Parishad chairman Anwar Hossain said the event was meant to awaken the humanity and religious entity among the children. The children will be taught the Qur'an only when they are in fifth grade. At the end of the year, a Qur'an will be handed over to them after the exam.
