41 die, 1892 infected in 24hrs in country

41 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 4634 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 3,32,970 as 1892 new cases were confirmed during the period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the information issuing a press release on Thursday.
According to the release, a total of 15,559 samples were tested at 93 authorized laboratories across the country during the time. Besides, the recovery count rose to 2,33,570 after another 2746 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 213 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. As of Thursday afternoon, a total of 28,050,253 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 908,434 while 20,117,616 patients have recovered, according to worldometers data.
