40 more buildings have been locked down in North Tolarbag in Mirpur-1 of the capital. Locals locked down the buildings with police support at around 11:30 pm on Saturday.

Earlier, a building in the same area was locked down on Saturday afternoon.

The building was locked down after a corona infected patient died in the building. But after the evening, locals also locked down 40 buildings around that building due to apprehension among the locals. It is learned that around 672 families live in these buildings.

House Owners Association president Subhashish Biswas said the meeting was held in the evening. It was decided to lock down 40 buildings there. Because the person who died, from whom the virus transmitted to him, could not been identified. There may be more infected, the IEDCR said.
Mirpur Division AC Mizanur Rahman said, "We have made people aware of the area by going to every house. They should not be out of the home. Besides, it has been said to restrict movement in the area.”
