4 of a family slaughtered in Ukhiya

Four members of a family, including two children, were slaughtered by miscreants at Purba Ratnapalong village in Ukhiya Upazila of Cox's Bazar on Wednesday night.
The deceased were identified as Shokhi Barua, wife of Prabin Barua of the area, her daughter-in-law Mila Barua, wife of Roken Barua and their two sons - Robin Barua and Soni Barua.
Abul Mansur, officer-in-charge of Ukhiya Police Station, said local people spotted the bodies at their house this morning and informed police.
On information, police recovered the throat-slit bodies around 7:30 am and sent these to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
It has been known that Shokhi Barua along with her daughter-in-law and two grandchildren used to live at the house as her son stays abroad for job.
However, the motive behind the killing could not be known yet.
