4 more died at RMCH, COVID detection rate 5.45pc

Four more people have died with COVID symptoms in the last 24 hours, from Thursday 8 am to Friday 8 am, at the Corona unit of the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH), among them are 2 women and 2 men. Besides, 19 people were diagnosed with the virus.
Confirming the information, RMCH Director Brigadier General Dr Shamim Yazdani told the media that 2 people from Naogaon, one from Natore and one from Chuadanga died with COVID symptoms in the preceding 24 hours.
He added that 103 people are currently hospitalized at the 513-bed RMCH Corona Isolation unit till Friday 8 am. 16 people were hospitalized in a day and 20 returned home after recovery.
Earlier on Thursday, as many as 336 samples were tested in the 2 PCR labs in Rajshahi, yielding the COVID-positivity among 19 people with a detection rate of 5.45 percent.
