Indro-Bangla Oxygen Express train at Bangabandhu Bridge West Railway Station in Sirajgan
‘Oxygen Express’ train has reached Bangladesh from India in the third phase. The Indro-Bangla Oxygen Express train reached the Bangabandhu Bridge West Railway Station in Sirajganj at 1:20 am on Friday. The train carrying 200 metric tons of liquid oxygen in 10 containers came to Bangladesh from Tatanagar, India.
The work of unloading oxygen from the container of the train to the container of the oxygen lorry started on Saturday morning.
Linde Bangladesh, an oxygen importer, imported 600 metric tons of liquid oxygen from India by rail in three phases.
According to the Linde Bangladesh authorities, oxygen has started to be unloaded from the train containers in the oxygen-carrying lorry. Liquid oxygen will be loaded by lorry from the train and taken by road to Linde’s Rupganj factory in Narayanganj. Later, it will be processed and supplied to different hospitals in the country.
Bangabandhu Bridge West Railway Station Master Ismail Hossain said for the third time, the oxygen-carrying train Indro-Bangla Oxygen Express arrived at 1:20 am. After unloading oxygen in the afternoon, the train will return to India.
Earlier, on July 25 and July 28, Oxygen Express arrived in the country with 200 metric tons of oxygen on the same train. With this, a total of 600 metric tons of oxygen came to the country in three consignments from India.
