38th BCS final result published, 2204 recommended

The Public Service Commission (PSC) has released the final results of the 38th BCS examination. According to the final results, 2,204 candidates have passed for the cadre posts.
PSC examination controller (cadre) Aim Nechar Uddin said the results were approved at a special meeting of the commission on Tuesday. “The Ministry of Public Administration will appoint the finalists,” he added.
A total of 2,204 candidates have been recommended in the 36th BCS candidates – 306 are in BCS (Administration) cadre, 100 in (Police) cadre, 25 in BCS (Foreign) cadre, 35 in BCS (Tax) cadre, 45 in BCS (Audit and Accounts) cadre. 38 in BCS (Ansar) cadre, 241 in BCS (Agriculture) cadre, 20 in BCS (Fisheries) cadre, 291 in BCS (Health) cadre, 85 in BCS (Animal Resources) cadre, 22 in BCS (Forest) cadre, 97 in the BCS (Public Works) cadre, and 768 in the BCS (General Education and Technical College) cadre, according to the press release.
A PSC official said the results were published on PSC’s website and sent via SMS to the candidates’ mobiles.
Earlier, the commission published the notification for the 38th BCS on June 20, 2017. The BCS was supposed to recruit 300 people in the administration cadre and 100 people in the police.
Although 346,440 candidates applied in the 38th BCS, 288,899 of them took part in the preliminary. Of those who passed the preliminary, 14,546 took the written test. 9,862 people who passed the written test were nominated for the oral test.
