35.4 tonnes honey collected from Jamalpur mustard fields

A total of 35.4 tonnes of honey was collected from the mustard fields in the Jamalpur district this year.
According to BSS, citing the sources of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), 3070 kilograms more honey was found this year than the last year due to favorable weather.
Farmers in the Jamalpur cultivated mustard on 21850 hectares of land but they collected honey from 4751 hectares, DAE said.
It is learned that honey collectors set up 4233 bee boxes in six upazilas, a sharp rise of 113 boxes than the previous year. – BSS
