35 pilgrims killed as bus crashes in Saudia Arabia

35 pilgrims have been killed in a bus crash near Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Four more were injured in the incident.

Saudi state media Arab News told the information on Wednesday.

The accident took place at around 7:00 pm at Al Akhal, on the road linking Mecca to the city of Medina, state media reported. 

According to a statement from the Saudi Health Department, the victims are citizens of different countries. Most of the passengers, however, were residents of Asia and Arabia. They were all Umrah passengers. It is not immediately known whether there is any Bangladeshi in the incident.

According to Saudi police, another car collided with a bus carrying Umrah passengers, killing 39 people on the spot. There were 39 passengers on the bus.

The injured were shifted to Al-Hamna Hospital. The identity of the victims has not yet been confirmed. Saudi Red Crescent authorities and other emergency services are working on the spot to rescue the incident.
