33rd of Padma Bridge span to get installed tomorrow

The 33rd span of the Padma Multi Purpose Bridge will be installed on the 3rd and 4th pillars on tomorrow at Mawa point of Louhoganj to make the bridge visible 4.95 kilometers.
With confirming the matter Assistant Engineer of the Padma Bridge Project Humayun Kabir said that a floating crane with the 33rd span named One-C will leave Mawa Construction Yard on Monday morning. The engineers will then place the span on the designated pillars. Earlier, the 32nd span of Padma Bridge was installed on October 11.
The construction work of Padma Bridge started in December 2014. The main bridge is being built by China Major Bridge Engineering Company, a Chinese contractor, and Sinohydro Corporation, another company in the country, is working on river management. The main shape of the 6.15 km long multipurpose bridge will be two-storey. The structure of this mega project, which is one of the best in the country, is being constructed with concrete and steel.
