32 die of COVID-19 in country in a day, 2611 new infected

32 more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 3,365 in the country. Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 2,55,113 as 2,611 new cases were confirmed during the period.
DGHS Additional Director General (administration) Prof Nasima Sultana came up with the disclosure joining the daily health bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) online on Saturday.
A total of 11,737 samples have been tested at 84 authorized coronavirus testing labs across the country over the last 24 hours. Of these, 2,611 have been diagnosed with coronavirus, bringing the total number of positive cases to 2,55,113, she said.
Meanwhile, 1,020 more people have recovered from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 1,46,604, the health official said.
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
