3 workers killed in C’nawabganj road crash

Three paddy harvesting workers killed in a truck-Votvoti (human hauler) collision at Nachole in Chapainawabganj. Six others were injured in the incident. They have been admitted to Nachole Upazila Health Complex.
The accident took place in Dhansura area of the upazila around 9:00 am on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Rezaul Karim, Tousikul Islam, and Alauddin Haque. However, the identities of the injured were not immediately known.
Nachole Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Quader said a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the paddy sapling-laden human hauler in Nachole in the morning. The three paddy harvesting workers on the truck fell and died on the spot. They were returning home after harvesting paddy. Six others were injured at the time, he added.
Confirming the accident, Nachole Fire Service Station Master Ibrahim Hossain said all the deceased and injured were the residents of Chaudola village in Gomastapur upazila.
Police and fire service personnel are conducting rescue operations at the spot till the news was obtained.
