New Zealand will play a two-match Test series against England next June. The New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) announced a strong 20-member squad for the series including three uncapped players.

Rachin Ravindra, Jacob Duffy, and South African-born Devon Conway are the three uncapped players.

Among the new cricketers, Devon Conway has already shown his credibility in limited-overs cricket. He was great with the bat in the just-concluded series against Bangladesh. The other two are all-rounder Rachin Rabindra and pacer Jacob Duffy.

Doug Bracewell, who played his last Test in 2016, has also been named and left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel returns to the frame, but fast bowler Lockie Ferguson was not considered with the selectors opting to protect him for the T20 World Cup. The squad will be trimmed to 15 for the WTC final in June following the two matches against England.

The first Test of the two-match series will start on June 2 at Lord's. The second and final Test of the series will start on June 10. The venue for this match is Birmingham. New Zealand will then face India in the final of the World Test Championship.

Squad: Kane Williamson (c), Tom Blundell, Trent Boult, Doug Bracewell, Devon Conway, Colin de Grandhomme, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, Henry Nicholls, Ajaz Patel, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling, Will Young.
