Deceased to be buried at Azimpur graveyard

Most of the deceased in Chawkbazar horrific fire of Old Dhaka will be buried in Azimpur graveyard. In the meantime, the burial of 14 bodies has been completed until 12:00 am. 

After the identity of the bodies in the morgue, the body was handed over from Thursday noon. Till the latest news, the bodies of 38 people were handed over to the families. 

Many of them went outside of Dhaka with their loved one’s body. Some bodies were buried in Azimpur.

Azimpur graveyard senior Mohar Hafez Md Hafizul Islam said, “Md Yasin, 33, a resident of Old Dhaka's KB road, who was killed in the fire incident, was buried at 5:30 pm. And at around 7:30 pm, the body of another named Ishaq, 40, was buried.” 

He said, “After the fire of Chawkbazar, authorities asked to prepare the grave. We have prepared 85 graves.”

67 people have been burnt to death in a devastating fire on Wednesday night in the capital’s Chawkbazar. Many people have been wounded.
