3 of a family killed as private car lost control in Gopalganj

Three members of the same family were killed on Thursday morning when a private car lost control on the Railway Flyover in Kashiani, Gopalganj. Two more people including the driver were injured in the incident. 

The deceased were identified as Emdadul Haque, a Singapore expatriate from Molladanga village under Dighalia police station in Khulna, his father Ziarul Haque and brother-in-law Sajjad Mollah of Kalia in Narail.

The injured are – Alamin of Katenga village under Terkhada police station and driver Shamim of Pipradanga village under Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat district. The injured driver has been admitted to Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital.

Emdadul and his family was going to Khulna from Dhaka airport at night. At around 3:45 am, a private car carrying them lost control and hit a railing on the Railway Flyover in Kashiani, Gopalganj. Three members of the same family were killed and two others were injured on the spot. The bodies were handed over to their relatives, said Highway police OC Md. Ataur Rahman.
