4 killed in three-way collision on Jashore-Magura highway

At least four people were killed and 30 others were injured in a three-way collision between two buses and a microbus on the Jashore-Magura highway. The death toll is feared to mount further as many people are trapped in the crashed bus.
The incident took place in Maghirdal area of the highway on Friday afternoon.
Among the dead one was identified as Fakrul of Dattapara of Narsingdi Sadar. While the identity of three others remains unknown.
Among the injured 17 were identified as Suraiya, Sajjad, Isreen, Nur Hossain, Matiar, Tawfiq, Madhabi Lata, Farooq, Sona Barua, Lal Mia, Mukul, Abdul Khaleque, Harun, Russell, Prashant, Nasim and Snigdha while the identity of the rest could not be known. The injured are being treated at the Magura 250-bed hospital.
Regarding the incident, Magura Sadar Police Station OC Joynal Abedin said four people were killed and 30 others were injured in a collision between two buses and a microbus in Maghirdhal area. Many more are trapped in the crashed bus. The death toll could further rise, he added saying drives underway to rescue the trapped passengers.
