Youth gets 6-month jail for stalking schoolgirl in Faridpur

A mobile court has sentenced a young man to six-month jail for stalking a schoolgirl at Ramdev Nagar village of Boalmari Upazila of Faridpur.

The convict is Mehedi Islam, 19, son of Akbar, a resident of the village.

Mehedi and Imarat Hossain Tauhid, 14, son of Nazrul Islam, were produced before the mobile court led by executive magistrate Mohammad Jakir Hossain on Friday evening in connection with stalking a schoolgirl at the village which sentenced  Mehedi to jail. 

Besides, the court also asked Boalmari Probation officer to take steps against Imarat Hossain Tauhid, 14, son of Nazrul Islam for his involvement in the incident under the Children Act.
