3 farmers killed in Natore road crash

Three farmers in the pick-up van were killed as hit by a truck in Gurudaspur, Natore. More than 10 people were injured in the incident.

The accident occured on Friday morning at Ranigram area of Natore-Dhaka Highway of the upazila. 

The deceased were identified as Ruhul Amin of Sirajganj’s Tarash, Abdul Kader and the identity of the other was not found yet. 

“A truck hit the Dhaka to Natore-bound pick-up van from behind. Three farmers that were in the pickup van were killed on the spot. At least 10 people were injured in the accident,” ‍said Delwar Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banapara Highway Police.  

“On information, the fire service recovered the bodies from the spot and sent it to the hospital morgue. The injured were rushed to the local hospital,” said Natore Fire Service Senior Station Officer Aktar Hamid Khan.
