3 Gambian ministers test positive for COVID-19

Three cabinet ministers from the African country of Gambia have been infected with coronavirus. In a statement, the presidential office said that Finance Minister Mambury Njie, Petroleum and Energy Minister Fafa Sanyang, and Agriculture Minister Amie Fabureh were confirmed to have contracted the virus.
Earlier, Vice President Isatou Touray was diagnosed with COVID-19. After that, President Adama Barrow is in self-isolation.
The number of corona cases in Gambia has recently increased. On Saturday, 496 people were identified as infected. 9 people have died. And 68 people have recovered.
The coronavirus spread from Wuhan, the capital of China’s Hubei province, in December last year. So far, more than 695,000 people have died from the virus.
