3 Bangladeshis killed in Bahrain road crash

Three Bangladeshis were killed and another injured in a road accident in Bahrain while roaming on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The seriously injured Bangladeshi was admitted to a hospital.

Bangladesh Embassy sources said the accident occurred when they were returning to the capital Manama from Jallak Beach at around 3 am local time on Saturday. Three Bangladeshis died on the spot when their private car collided with another vehicle.

The deceased were identified as Sujon Matabbar, son of Mojibur Matabbar of Kazi Kandi village in Dakshin Dabaldia, Jajira upazila of Shariatpur and KM Ruhul Rabbi, son of Rakib Uddin of Mandirpur village in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria. The identity of the other dead was not known.

The injured was identified as Md. Rubel, son of Jitu Bakul of Sreepur Bazar of Hajiganj upazila of Chandpur. He is currently being treated at the Bahrain Military Hospital.

Bahraini police have recovered the bodies of three Bangladeshis and kept them in the morgue of Salmania Hospital. Bangladesh embassy sources said they will provide all possible assistance to repatriate the bodies of the three Bangladeshis on an emergency basis.
