28 Covid deaths reported in a day in country

As many as 28 people have died from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7559 in the country.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) came up with the information in a press release issued on Thursday(December 31, 2020).
The first coronavirus death was reported in the country on March 18, ten days after the detection of the first COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, 719,305 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 14,807 died from the pandemic in the last 24 hours. The United States has registered the highest number of deaths from the pandemic and infections during the period.
The coronavirus, that first reported in China late last year, is now affecting 218 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances. As of this afternoon, a total of 83,164,241 people has been diagnosed with the virus worldwide, as the death toll rises to 1,814,218 while 58,953,977 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.
