The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf has invited more than 100 countries including minority Muslim countries, from the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Latin America to participate in the five-day 27th International Quran Competition which is scheduled to be held on February 8-12 next year.
Representatives from more than 40 countries will participate from the continent of Africa, including the Middle East Arab countries. Russia, Balkans, Serbia, Bosnia, Bulgaria and Greece were also invited to participate in the Quran competition.
The Ministry of Awqaf has invited European and Latin American countries to participate in the competition. The country has also invited Muslim minority countries to send representatives.
It is important to note that in March last year, the 26th International Quran Competition was held. Representatives from 60 countries of the world including 30 from Africa participated in the competition. The prize money for the competition was £ 10 million.
