A Saudi Arabian Airlines flight carrying about 252 Bangladeshi expatriates reached Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) after a long hiatus at around 4:30 am Saudi time.

Earlier, the flight left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday night. Thousands of expatriates visas will expire on September 30, who came to Bangladesh from Saudi Arabia on leave.

Saudi Arabian Airlines has decided to operate commercial flights to Bangladesh Airlines from October 1. However, Bangladesh Biman did not get permission to land in Saudi Arabia before starting the allocation of passenger seats. Due to this, the airline could not start selling tickets yet.

Meanwhile, the civil aviation authority will allow Saudi Arabian Airlines to increase the number of flights. The company's chairman, Air Vice Marshal Mofidur Rahman said that for so long our air communication with Saudi Arabia was completely cut off. Many countries in the Middle East have started flights. We also wanted flights from Saudi Arabia to start; We will cooperate in every possible way.

He also said that he had talked to the ambassador of Bangladesh to Saudi Arabia. We will provide as many flights as Saudi Arabia will seek approval for Bangladeshis to take back. So that the expatriates can go back to their work. At the same time, work is being done so that our Biman Bangladesh can also resume flights.
